turtle_inn_resort_boracay0Central  - main road and nightlife – still very quiet. A small hotel with a nice service but not insistent. A three minute walk to the lovely but lively White Beach. Unfortunately, Google Maps isn’t very exact when it comes to Boracay – neither with the Turtle Inn. Take a look at the map on the  hotel’s website for the right location.

The facility is quite nice and green. Everything is in good condition and very clean. However, forget the breakfast, it’s not very big but it is possible to have it brought to your room or to the terrace (probably any extras you have ordered too). The wifi works without problem throughout the whole facility. The hotel has a very fast and cheap laundry service. Flat TV, no fridge or room safe. The hotel is guarded 24 hours a day by a good security service. Female visitors are also registered during the night.

The standard rooms are on the ground floor, they’re pretty spacious and functionally equipped. The bathroom is large and the beds very good. All rooms are air conditioned and also have a fan. Large fenestrated facade due to the veranda door (with terrace). Due to the location the rooms downstairs aren’t quite as bright but I found them to be quite OK.

The superior rooms higher up are much brighter and nicer – as far as I’m concerned it’s worth paying the extra. One has that “island holiday” feeling. There is a small extra window for more light. The furnishing is OK. Nice terrace if you like to sit outside.

Right at the top there are two even larger rooms, “family rooms” for up to four persons. Unfortunately they were occupied so I wasn’t able to take any pics of them. However, the rooms are even larger and the terraces outside are a lot nicer with them having loungers – you can even see a tiny bit of the sea (see the last two photos).

The bottom line: I can defiantly recommend the Turtle Inn. The central but peaceful location, the friendliness of the staff and last but not least, the very good value for money, which as far as I’m concerned is super. Other rooms I looked at in the immediate vicinity were a lot worse and much more expensive. I booked thorough Agoda but I’m sure you will be able to book through the hotel’s website.
