All in all I had expected a little more from this hotel, either that or I had set my expectations too high. First of all the rooms, they were pretty much worn out. Stains on the carpet, the couch on its last legs and also stained. Even though I had booked a non-smokers room it stank of old smoke, I felt sick after a few minutes; felt a little better after moving rooms.
The second point is the hotel’s location. A view of the huge Center Point Hotel Terminal 21 and the Asoke BTS (sky train). However, one still has to walk quite a way to get to the sky train. Nevertheless, the location is quite central, even though one does have to walk to and through Soi Cowboy first to get to Sukhumvit Road, which is a good thing for Soy Cowboy friends However, too far for me, especially during the rainy season.
The hotel personnel is friendly, the rooms spacious. Normal furnishing, large safe, small mini-bar, which can be used for one’s own drinks without any problem at all. The air conditioning is OK, doesn’t blow on the bed. Free wifi and works as well, but it gets on one’s nerves having to get a new code from the reception each day.
Chicks have to be registered at the reception.
The fitness room is well equipped and there is a small pool. I didn’t book breakfast. The deluxe cost me 40€ through Agoda. Sometimes they have last minute offers from just above 30€ including breakfast for the superior (the only difference to the deluxe is that there are two single beds); certainly a bargain, especially for smokers.
