It’s my favourite hotel in Sosua. The location is good, just round the corner from the nightlife. It doesn’t look that good at first sight but it has its advantages. The rooms are suitably to well furnished, it’s quite quiet and the personnel are extremely friendly. Pool available.
There’s an old and a new wing. These have different types of rooms with either one large or two smaller beds, some have a Jacuzzi. The aircon is only just adequate for the size of the rooms. Good ceiling fan which rotates and anti-clockwise.
The safe is coded, is large or quite deep. Large flat-screen telly, enough storage space in the room. Small fridge but still adequate. Generously sized bathroom with bidet but unfortunately only a cheap “plastic cup” as a shower (cabin with glass doors). The wifi connection isn’t stable in all rooms; sometimes it won’t work on the desk in my room so I lie on the bed with my notebook, it works there.
The grounds outside and the restaurant are quite simple even though well greened. Take a look at their homepage for prices. I paid 74 USD for a third floor room with a balcony and veranda. If you pay cash they give 5 USD discount/night. Guarded car park with a sliding gate. Girls will only be let in if they provide ID, which has to be handed in at the reception. There is CCTV for safety all over, especially in the corridors, great.
The manager is Italian and has obviously been able to motivate his staff. Everything is as it should be. As I was there the other guests were more inconspicuous than those stopping at the Terra Linda.
The restaurant itself is a little bare, more like a canteen; the same applies to the bar. Nevertheless, one sits well, it’s open at all sides, always a slight breeze. Not as tasteful as at the Terra Linda, but here one is sort of closer to things. The way the restaurant is, makes it possible to pick up passing chicas. Breakfast is acceptable (until 11:30 hrs). The menu is by no means as extensive as that at the Terra Linda. The cook is also Italian; order an Italian dish, tastes good.
