The location of the hotel is optimal, that’s if one wants to participate in the island’s sparse nightlife. The main tourist location here is White Sand Beach. Apart from a disco there is a small beer-bar complex and exactly next to this is the hotel. Nevertheless, the rooms are still quiet.
The hotel consist of two complexes, a more simple one above the street in which I stopped (Hillside) and a newer and nicer one directly next to the beach – or better said, above the beach (Seaside). It’s a bit stony here and the area starts to rise here.
The more simple rooms are quite nice, have ample furnishing and are large. They have a room-safe and a wifi that causes problems, which probably caused by the exposed location of the island. However, these rooms have one big problem, they smell musty. I moved rooms after the first night because the room opposite was empty and didn’t smell. However, after switching on the air conditioning I realised that I had jumped straight out of the frying pan into the fire, the musty mouldy smell came from the air conditioning.
As long as nothing is done about the cheaper rooms or they are not renovated then I’m not prepared to recommend them. The other complex doesn’t have such problems, but it’s too expensive. There’s nothing going there (Superior Hillside, High Season) for my little more than 50€. At this location the hotels are a little more expensive than “normal”. Take a look at the Agoda site as well or at the Hotel’s own website. Apart from rooms in the complex next to the road (Deluxe Seaside, the rooms are super but loud) there are also bungalows, which are quite impressive (each with a private pool).
Apart from that it’s quite a nice facility with very friendly personnel. The breakfast buffet is OK. The small pool above is more for relaxation than swimming; the larger pool directly next to the see is larger and has a wonderful view. Swimming in the sea is only recommendable if you wear some sort of bathing shoes.
I’d stop at the Seaside complex anytime, everything is OK there.
