I booked this hotel through its own website, where obviously there are always special offers and promotions. I also stayed here because of the view I was expecting. At first I was given a room in the “garden wing”, which only has six floors. I was on the third floor with a view of the car park. In the end I upgraded and ended up on a higher floor in a suite, which at the end of the day cost me 3500 Baht.
The location of the hotel is not all that good. Soi 10 is between the Nana and Asoke sky train stations, both on the main road; about five minutes walk, but the Sukhumvit Road is further away with the trip having to be made on one of the hotels own Tuk Tuks (free of charge). After a while this turns out to be a bit complicated, it got on my nerves at least.
The room service/restaurant and especially the laundry are pretty expensive. The personnel are friendly, the rooms have a large safe and the WiFi works.
The view from my balcony isn’t bad at all; one looks down onto the Terminal 21 at the Asoke. The room’s not bad. Spacious bathroom, kitchenette with a washing machine (which nobody really uses!) and a large fridge. The hotel personnel are friendly.
If wanted, guest’s ID’s will be checked. The lift system (in which it’s too hot) and the card one needs (electronic room key) is complicated and has a few faults.
Those who aren’t bothered about the location can stay here. I was annoyed afterwards for not having paid an extra 500 Baht for a room in the Grande Centre Point at the Asoke. (see hotel test). The hotel has a number of sister hotels in Bangkok, hotels belonging to a chain with the same name – watch out when booking, one can slip up easily.
